MEASUREMENT OF LOW ELECTRIC FIELDS UNDER UPPER ATMOSPHERE CONDITIONS.

Abstract

A field-mill has been devised to measure the electric field strength at the surface of a vehicle, in the presence of currents of charged particles. The calibration of the field-mill is described. Probe techniques for the purpose of measurement of electric potentials in ionospheric conditions are discussed. (Author)
