MILITARY PREVENTIVE MEDICINE. ECOLOGY AND CONTROL OF DISEASE VECTORS AND RESERVOIRS

Abstract

During its sixth year the Armed Forces Pest Control Board has continued to emphasize the development of uniform policies and procedures in pest control matters and the application of joint efforts in research and operational projects in which all three services have a major interest. There has been a considerable expansion of coordination with other Federal agencies and of information activities. The establishment of the Military Entomology Information Service is particularly noteworthy. These activities have been made possible by the full support of the Department of Defense, the members of the Board, and the agencies they represent.
