A PNEUMATIC PURE FLUID SPEED CONTROL FOR A 500 KW STEAM TURBINE GENERATOR,

Abstract

A pneumatic pure fluid speed control was designed and nstructed for a 500 KW steam turbine gener ator. Its performance was demonstrated in a laboratory bench test on a scaled system. The unit met the specification for 1/2% speed control for a 10% load change. Information is presented on the selection of a suitable system, a descrip tion of the performance of each component, and a summary of the test results. (Author)
