TIME DEPENDENT ENERGY FUNCTIONS AND DISSIPATIVE NETWORKS,

Abstract

The energy functions approach usually associat ed with classical mechanics is applied to the single loop, linear, time-varying R(t)-L(t) C(t) network. Time dependent Lagrangians and Hamiltonians are formulhich lead to a phase plane description of the network behavior. A set of the stability criteria in terms of the time dependence of the network elements is derived. (Author)
