COMBUSTION INSTABILITY RESEARCH ON SOLID AND LIQUID PROPELLANT ROCKET MOTORS AT SHEFFIELD UNIVERSITY,
Abstract
Rocket motor combustion instability has been under investigation. The first phase of this work concerned the high frequency tangential mode of oscillation, in a premixed gaseous fuelled rocket motor. In particular the first tangential travelling mode was studied because this is considered the most destructive mode of instability. The research was extended to cast double base propellants. (Author)
