PROTOTYPE AUDIO-VISUAL AID.

Abstract

A laboratory model of a head-worn film viewer, some of the steps in its development, and its potential uses are discussed. Design and construction of the film viewer was the first step in a program to develop a compact audio-visual device which can be worn by the user and which will present coordinated visual and verbal guidance to task performance. It was built to demonstrate engineering feasibility and to provide a vehicle for laboratory study of the uses of such devices. Contemplated laboratory uses include display parameter studies and evaluation of the device's effectiveness in aiding human performance. (Author)
