A DIGITAL SIMULATION OF RADIATION PATTERNS OF UHF ANTENNA ARRAYS,

Abstract

Basic models for the simulation of the radiation patterns of ultrahigh frequency antenna arrays above finitelyconducting plane surfaces are developed with the application of digital computer techniques. The data required for a simulation are: The free-space radiation pattern of the antenna; the height of the antenna, and the conductivity and permittivity of the surface. Simulations of several antenna arrays are presented. The computation is made using a digital computer, and the patterns are plotted using a microfilm recorder. A complete set of reflection factor curves are included for horizontal and vertical polarization. (Author)
