FURTHER RESEARCH DIRECTED TOWARD THE STUDY OF RELATIONS OF ATMOSPHERIC FLOW TO WEATHER.

Abstract

The results of three investigations are reported in this paper, In the first an objective method is developed for prediction of cloudiness and precipitation by use of the integrated mass of water vapor in the lower and middle troposphere. In the second vertical motions obtained from a dynamic model with fine vertical resolution are related to frontal structure in an active cyclonic system. Finally the process and verification of subjective probability forecasting is analyzed. (Author)
