IRRADIATION EFFECTS ON STRUCTURAL MATERIALS.

Abstract

This report, covering program progress for the quarter, 1 February - 30 April 1963, includes the following: (1) a summary review of the data on neutron embrittlement for the several steels studied, (2) the effects of very high neutron dosage on two steels, (3) the effects of various heat treatment conditions as well as cyclic irradiation-annealing treatments on the notch ductility properties of irradiated steels, (4) the calibration of the in-cell Charpy impact machine, and (5) the results of a shielding efficiency survey of the cells in the new Metallurgy High Level Radiation Laboratory.
