USE OF EXTREME POINT SOLUTIONS TO A LINEAR INEQUALITY MODEL IN THE CHOICE OF A FLEET TO SATISFY SPECIFIED FIREPOWER REQUIREMENTS,

Abstract

Certain interesting aspects of the use of extreme point solutions in the application of a linear inequality model to a military decision problem are treated. We discuss an example problem which is illustrative of a large class of problems which might be similarly modeled. We present a number of analyses for various properties of a set of alternative courses of action which satisfy a given set of military requirements. (Author)
