ION-ION AND ELECTRON-ION RECOMBINATION,

Abstract

The recombination coefficient is defined and expressions for the time dependence of the charge carrier number densities in terms of this coefficient are derived. The mechanisms and theories of recombination are discussed and equations for the recombination coefficient are derived. Finally, experimental methods and data are presented, and comparisons are made with theoretical predictions. (Author)
