EXISTENCE AND APPROXIMATION THEOREMS FOR ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS AND THEIR SYSTEMS PART I,

Abstract

An existence theorem for y' =f(x, y) is established by assuming only the continuity of f(x, y) and by using a class of recurrence relations instead of Euler's formula used in Peano's theorem. This theorem is extended to the system of ordinary differential equations. (Author)
