DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF IMPROVED WATERTIGHT COAXIAL CABLE.

Abstract

The test results reported in the last interim report were evaluated. The evaluation resulted in the design of 20 additional sample constructions which will be manufactured and tested. The constructions will be manufactured with new techniques, new materials and new designs and the test results will provide information that will lead to the optimum design possible with present day materials. The samples will investigate the properties of polypropylene and polyurethane, will check the theoretical braid design for minimum attenuation and provide other general information. The program for the next interval is presented. (Author)
