REAL-TIME COMPUTER STUDIES OF BARGAINING BEHAVIOR: THE EFFECTS OF THREAT UPON BARGAINING,

Abstract

Reports on a Communication Game, in which the computer is used as an experimental tool for on-line analysis, umpiring, control and recording of subject behavior. Also reports chat the computer is programmed to aid in the collection and assessment of subjective data - to probe subjects' as to their intentions and perceptions at critical points in the development of the bargaining process. States that these data should su7plant a great deal of the need to speculate about the patterns of intention and perceptions which produce the overt results obtained. (Author)
