A STUDY OF LOADS ON UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES, PARTS I - III.

Abstract

An annotated bibliography is presented in which the main purpose is to list earlier studies of loads on underground structures. A discussion is presented of three of the current procedures for design of underground structures in which nuclear effects are given consideration. An analytical method is given for determining loads resulting from time-dependent overpressures based mainly on previous work at Iowa State University and the Armour Research Foundation. This is supplemented by a graphical representation of the expressions developed. (Author)
