SURVEY OF SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF IRON BY COMPLEXING WITH PYRIDINE AND PHENANTHROLINE COMPOUNDS,

Abstract

Iron in small quantities and trace amounts may be determined quantitatively by complexing with pyridine and/or phenanthroline compounds. Distinct colors are produced by ferrous ions and ferric ions. Spectrophotometric methods are presented for their determination singly or in combination, and in the presence of other metals and substances. (Author)
