OCEANOGRAPHIC AND UNDERWATER ACOUSTICS RESEARCH.

Abstract

During the period 1 November 1962 - 30 April 1963 intensive work at sea was devoted to problems of shallow thermal fronts in the ocean, heat flow through the ocean floor, dredging, reflections/ refraction at oblique angles of the sub-bottom and bottom photography. Reduction of data by digital computing equipment continues to increase in scope as more and more programs are adapted. Refinements in acoustic instrumentation have increased the capabilities of our data taking methods with more precision and definition. (Author)
