RUNWAY CUTTING III; COMPUTER PROGRAM 2-63P.

Abstract

A program for the IBM 7090 computer is described which answers the question: What is the expected number of passes needed to cut a runway. The cutting is done with a group of weapons placed in a pattern with a bivariate normal aiming error. Each weapon is distributed about its aim point with a bivariate normal ballistic error. Cumulative bomb damage and conditional kill probabilities of individual weapons are taken into account. Flow charts, a listing of the FORTRAN program, and a sample problem are included. (Author)
