CREEP DEFORMATIONS IN MEMBRANE SHELLS,

Abstract

Creep deflections in membrane shells are analysed in this report. Governing equations are developed in detail for shells with one infinitely large radius of curvature, and for circumferentially closed shells of revolution. For illustration, solutions are obtained for a circular cone under wind load, a cycloidal ault under uniform dead load, and a hemispherical cap under wind load. (Author)
