AUTOMATIC ASSIGNMENT OF COMPUTATIONAL TASKS IN A VARIABLE STRUCTURE COMPUTER,

Abstract

A design procedure suggested by Dr. Turn, for assigning computational tasks is explained in two forms, first as a mathematical model, and then as a working set of computer programs. Several recent suggestions for improving the entire procedure are discussed. These include more automatization of the problem description, a better initial assignment, and more suitable computer languages for programming the algorithm. (Author)
