Abstract
This document contains a brief description of the VHF Doppler System installed in the South Africa Station. The VHF Equipment consists of a doppler system, telemetry tracking antenna and antenna control system, telemetry processing and recording system, and VHF checkout equipment. Operating and maintenance instructions for the doppler system are discussed in detail in this volume. For detailed information concerning the tracking antenna and antenna control system refer to the vendor's handbook: Dynatronics Handbook of Service Instructions, Telemetry Tracking Antenna System, Model 3013. The telemetry processing and recording system is housed in the Lockheed furnished telemetry van; operating and service instructions for this equipment should be referenced in the Lockheed manual for the telemetry van.
