ACQUISITION PROGRAM FOR TRACKING AND SURVEILLANCE OF EARTH SATELLITES,

Abstract

A computer program has been developed to calculate acquisition coordinates of earth satellites for tracking sensors and for fixed beam surveillance sensors. In the former case, acquisition coordinates, including the time of closest approach, are generated for all observable passes of the requested satellites. For surveillance sensors, the program computers the time and coordinates of beam penetrations of all designeated satellites. This computer program may be used to simulate sensor-satellite patterns or to generate calculations for real satellites and existing sensors. (Author)
