LEADING EDGES DEVELOPMENT - DYNA SOAR

Abstract

A series of five leading edge concepts were subjected to three separate environment test programs. Each configuration was exposed to a sonic environment, a thermal gradient test, a second sonic exposure, and finally, a static load test. The purpose of these tests was to evaluate these five basic leading edge concepts and their various design features to obtain information for a production configuration and to verify analytical procedures.
