PARAMETRIC CURVES FOR RADIATION FROM A VERTICAL DIPOLE NEAR A COASTLINE,

Abstract

The vertical radiation pattern from a vertical dipole which is situated on a lossy ground near a perfectly conducting medium is given in a set of parametric curves, which cover all cases of practical interest. The report also contains an approximation of the complex error-function of a complex argument, which should be useful in other problems relating to propagation over a finitely conducting ground.
