RADAR-ECHO RATE FROM SHOWER METEORS. PART II: RANGE DISTRIBUTION,

Abstract

The theoretical range distributions of the meteor echoes due to Perseids shower are calculated for four sets of values of the parameters and we compare them in order to establish the influences yielded by a variation of these parameters in the final results. Then a rough comparison is also done between theoretical and experimental range distributions to determine the theoretical range distribution which better fits the experimental data. (Author)
