REGENERATION OF LOST ORGANS (VOSSTANOVLENIYE UTRACHENNYKH ORGANOV),

Abstract

This book is devoted to one of the most remarkable properites of living beings, the ability to form new organs to replace those lost or damaged. The author showed the inaccuracies of the longstanding theories which hold that only the lower animals are capable of carrying out regenerative processes and that these phenomena do not occur in more highly organized organisms. He depicts the broad prospects which will open up before scientists as they learn the laws which govern regenerative processes. (Author)
