ARCTIC PROPAGATION STUDIES AT IONOSPHERIC MODES OF PROPAGATION.

Abstract

The results of HF propagation studies over Arctic paths during 1959-1962 are presented. The investigation is mainly based on transpolar pulse transmissions on 12, 18, 24 and 30 Mc/s between Alaska, Norway, Sweden and Greenland. In addition, ionospheric absorption and synchronized step-frequency measurements were utilized in the analysis. (Author)
