Abstract

Pressure distributions and oil film photographs were obtained for Mach 5 flows past wedge shaped fins mounted on a sharp leading edge flat plate. Sharp and blunt leading edge fins of two different heights were tested for Reynolds numbers, based on the flat plate length, from 1.1 to 6.6 million. Data were obtained on both the fin and plate surfaces for model angles of attack between -5 and +10 degrees. (Author)
