Abstract
Equipment and process investigations in the areas of collector attachment, contact metallizing, lead attachment and encapsulation have continued. The diffusion process is complete and ready to incorporate the advantages of the production line rearrangement now in progress. Significant improvements were achieved in gold evaporated contacts. Step-stress testing shows this process as being capable of providing the desired reliability level. (Author)
