UHF DUPLEXERS SEMICONDUCTOR EFFORT.

Abstract

A three port ferrite circulator was developed that is capable of handling 300 kw peak power, 3500 watts average power over the band 400 to 450 mc. Techniques to increase the power handling capability are discussed. Experimental data on a diode limiter are presented that confirms theoretical calculations. By cascading two limiter sections a balanced limiter can be achieved that will handle 30 kw peak power, 300 watts average power, at a 60 micro s pulse width. Isolation on the order of 55 db is possible with an insertion loss of 0.8 db. (Author)
