THE NATIONAL SECURITY SYSTEM AS AN INFORMATION CHANNEL TO AND FROM THE PRESIDENT,

Abstract

The National Security Council (NSC) system consitutes an important communication channel to and from the President for the transmission of national security information. The importance of the NSC as an information channel, it functions and operations, and its probable future role are described. This paper is oriented towards a consideration of those aspects of the NSC system which are of interest from the standpoint of the design of National Military Command and Control System. (Author)
