ACCURACY OF THE OMEGA NAVIGATION SYSTEM. EXPECTED ROOT MEAN SQUARE FIX ERRORS ARE ABOUT 0.5 MILE BY DAY AND 1.2 MILES BY NIGHT,

Abstract

Data gthered over a 4-year period with the experimental Omega navigation system were analyzed. The major conclusion was that the expected rootmean-square fix accuracy is about 0.5 and 1.2 miles, at day and at night respectively. (Author)
