STUDY OF IMAGE-EVALUATION TECHNIQUES.

Abstract

This interim engineering report describes work for a study of image evaluation techniques. The general areas for this study include (1) the development of techniques for making physical measurements on lenses and emulsions, (2) the development of techniques for measuring and predicting reconnaissance system performance under static test, dynamic test, and flight conditions, (3) the correlation of physical measurements with detection and recognition, and (4) photography for the subjective and objective measurements of simulated aerial scenes. Reference is made to previous engineering reports for a description of these study areas. (Author)
