GENERAL MANNING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR F-5A/B SQUADRONS.

Abstract

This QQPRI has been developed by the United States Air Force to assist MAP countries in determining the type and numbers of personnel required to maintain the F-5A and F-5B Weapon Systems. Recommendations herein have been based on more than two years experience in operating the T-38. Differences between T-38 and F-5A/B, including the armament system, have been taken into consideration as well as differences in the missions. Personnel requirements are identified in terms of the USAF Airman classification structure as established by AFM 39-1 and standard USAF maintenance procedures and organizations as specified by AFM 66-1. Translation of this data into a specific MAP country structure should consider differences in operational and maintenance concepts, personnel systems, and technical capability of the personnel resource. The QQPRI is intended as a basic guide and reference in the areas of personnel and training and should be of value to those who are concerned with: (a) The identification of skills and knowledges needed to operate and maintain the system. (b) The development of organizational tables and unit manning documents. (c) The development of training programs and concepts. (Author)
