ATMOSPHERIC PARAMETERS FOR FOUR QUIESCENT EARTH CONDITIONS,

Abstract

There are a number of parameters which frequently need to be known by one engaged in studying the atmosphere. Seven of these parameters are tabulated as functions of altitude and magnetic latitude for four different quiescent earth conditions. The conditions include daytime and nighttime for periods of maximum and minimum sunspot activity. The seven parameters tabulated are the geomagnetic field intensity, the gyro frequencies of electrons and ions, the plasma frequency, and the collision frequencies between electrons, ions, and neutral particles.
