SOLID STATE FILTERS, DELAY LINES AND TRANSFORMERS.

Abstract

A brief review is presented of the significant topics investigated during the course of this research. A comprehensive discussion is given on ceramic filters. Included are discussions of modes of vibration appropriate for low frequency ceramic filter elements, material parameters and their effect on filter performance, and the roles of bandwidth, k2 and Qm in filter performance. A detailed discussion of the design of longitudinal and flexural mode elements is also included. Described are the 50 experimental samples fabricated during the last quarter. Representative curves and test data for these elements are shown and the pertinent characteristics of all these elements are summarized in a series of tables. (Author)
