THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY IN SOLIDS,

Abstract

THE PRESENT STATUS OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY IN SOLIDS IS REVIEWED. This report is concerned with the thermal conductivity in insulators (dielectric solids). It includes a discussion of theory from both the viewpoints of irreversible thermodynamics and quantum mechanics, and recent theoretical and experimental contributions. (Author)
