A METHOD FOR MINIMIZING THE EFFECT OF THE PERSHING ST-120 SERVO BOX INTERCHANGE ON CROSS RANGE ACCELEROMETER DRIFT,

Abstract

A method to allow the PERSHING ST-120 servo box to be interchanged without readjusting the accelerometer amplifier balance potentiometer is presented. The method involves adjusting the balance potentiometer with the servo box removed from the system and making a final mechanical adjustment on the accelerometer after it is mounted on the ST-120 platform. Test data are presented to show the feasibility of using the method. (Author)
