STRUCTURAL AND BIOSYNTHETIC STUDIES OF THE PHYCOBILINS.

Abstract

A survey was made of the biliproteins of cryptomonad algae. Structural studies of the phycobilins of R-phycoerythrin are reported; one of these was obtained in a pure state from C-phycocyanin. The fluorescence spectra of R-phycocyanin are discussed. (Author)
