TRANDUCERS FOR MECHANICAL PARAMETERS OF MACHINES (DATCHIKI MEKHANICHESKIKH PARAMETROV MASHIN),
Abstract
The present edition represents a substantial expansion and revision of the first edition: the first part, in which various types of sensing elements were discussed, has been expanded by the inclusion of new types; new methods obtaining currency in recent years have been included in the discussion of methods for measuring individual parameters. The chapter devoted in the first edition to discussion of measurement circuits and electronic equipment has been dropped from this edition. It has been replaced by a discussion of the requirements imposed on such equipment by sensing elements and the mechanical parameters measured. There are now a large number of electronic measurement circuits that have been developed and that are in use; consideration of such circuits would form the subject for a separate book. When electronic-circuit characteristics are determined, requirements imposed by measured parameters, sensing elements, or recording equipment are not always taken into account; thus a discussion of such requirements may prove useful in the further development of the electronic apparatus.
