ENGINEERING PROBLEMS IN A LUNAR ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The principal characteristics of the cislunar and lunar environments are identified, and the influence that such environmental parameters have upon engineering designs applicable to lunar operations are outlined. Basic astronomical data and some illustrations of typical lunar topography are also included.
