INVESTIGATION OF THE MAGNESIUM ANODE.

Abstract

Investigations of magnesium anodic behaviors with Mg(ClO4)2, MgCl2, and Mg(Ac)2 electrolytes were carried out. The observed behaviors could be best explained in terms of protective film control and processes which tend to repair or damage this protective film. Data on the effects of electrolyte concentration, anode composition and temperature on the behavior were obtained. (Author)
