THEORY FOR PLASMA FILLED DIODES,

Abstract

A theoretical analysis of thermoelectric properties of thermionic converters is made according to a Langmuir probe analogy beginning with Kirchhoff's current law. An expression is developed for the load voltage in terms of external circuit current, thermionic electrode characteristics and plasma properties. Very good agreement between predicted diode properties and observations is shown at low pressure. (Author)
