KA-BAND CRYSTAL PROTECTOR.
Abstract
Research was cotinued on the development of a long-life KA-band crystal protector. A series of resonant element sections were investigated to experimentally determine the optimum filter configuration for the gas crystal protector. Some low level work was carried out on the gas pre-TR and solid state limiter designs. Life tests on two different type crystal protectors were conducted to expose problem areas in the designs under consideration. Wall treatment processes and gasfill composition were analyzed in these tests. (Author)
