RECTIFIERS AND STABILIZERS (VYPRYAMITELI I STABILIZATORY),

Abstract

The book is a result of generalization and systematization of lectures on the course, Electric Supply and Regulating Devices, delivered by the author at the Leningrad Institute of Motion Picture Engineers, and intended as a text for students in the electrical engineering department. It can be used also by students of related specialties and by engineering-technical workers who encounter by the nature of their work the design and operation of electric power supplies. With respect to the contents, the book can be arbitrarily divided into three parts. The first pajt contains brief information on electric rectifiers and the principles of the general theory of rectifiers and smoothing filters. The second part, devoted to an exposition of problems of regulation and stability of voltage and current, includes much material which has never been published before concerning the design of certain voltage-stabilizer circuits. In the third part are given typical electric power supply circuits used in motion picture engineering, and specific features of the supplied objects are considered. (Author)
