OPERATIONAL TEST AND EVALUATION A/A 37U-15 TOW SYSTEM WITH F-105D AIRCRAFT,

Abstract

This test was conducted to determine the compatibility of the A/A 37U-15 tow system with the F-105D aircraft in an operational environment, performing standard dart maneuvers. This subsystem was designed for the F-104 aircraft; however, subsequent tests by the Air Force Systems Command, reference APGC-TDR 63-17, proved the compatibility with the F-105D aircraft. Twenty missions were conducted to test the tow subsystem during all phases of target operation and performance capabilities while flying typical training missions. It was concluded from this test that the A/A 37U-15 tow subsystem can be satisfactorily used in normal training operations with the F-105 aircraft. (Author)
