PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE TO IMPROVE PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES AND INCREASE THE RELIABILITY OF THE 2N1358A TRANSISTOR.

Abstract

Facilities for all seventeen of the active process and euqipment programs are completed and capable of producing. Two of the programs instituted into standard production are providing evidence of significant reliability improvement. The new mounting furnace utilizing superheated hydrogen is favorably affecting the D. C. Operating Life capabilities of the device. The surface treatment program was expanded beyond the original program and now includes surface passivation ambient control (SPAC) facilities. There has been improvement of the 135 C storage capability beyond that realized with the original surface treatment program. (Author)
