PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR TYPE 7890 SUPER POWER HYDROGEN THYRATRON.
Abstract
Three tubes were assembled and two were tested during the report period. The operation of these tubes is discussed. They showed improvement over the first tube to the extent that the grid slot area appeared adequate. Only one tube could be completely tested. It developed primary grid emission from the control grid. Steps taken in the building of the next tube, in order not to have the grid emission problem are detailed and discussed. Data on envelope temperatures, grid baffling overlap, and envelope brazing are presented. (Author)
