RADIATION EFFECTS ON GUIDED MISSILE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT.

Abstract

This report is the a semi-annual report on ''Radiation Effects on Guided Missile Electronic Equipment'', prepared under Navy, Bureau of Naval Weapons Contract NOw63-0486-d is presented. Included in this report are studies in the areas of: (1) definition of the laboratory environment and calculation of weapon rate contours, (2) radiation effects on thin film and bulk semiconductor integrated devices and circuits, silicon controlled rectifiers, four layer diodes and Trigister devices and circuits, infrared detectors, transistors, and passive electronic components, (3) general hardening techniques, development of a hardened circuit, and prediction techniques and (4) radiation effects on ruby and GaAs lasers and ammonia fuze battery.
