AIR PROVING GROUND CENTER SUPPORT FOR PROJECT MERCURY.

Abstract

Presented is the Air Proving Ground Center support for the NASA's man-in-space program, Project Mercury, from the planning stages to completion of the program in June 1963. The general mission objectives, global tracking facilities, Air Proving Ground Center support equipment, and resumes of missions are presented with emphasis on the Air Proving Ground Center support function and missions supported by Mercury Station 17.
